The French Apartment: a story made in France

Even as made in France brands explode, the distribution method remains the real Achilles heel of this ecosystem.

To respond to this, Emilie and David, having worked together for many years for a major cosmetics brand, embarked on their own adventure: made in France imposed itself on them naturally by their personal stories as much as through their own consumption patterns.

Based on the observation that consuming local is a real treasure hunt, they decided to put their know-how at the service of made in France. From there was born the French Apartment, in 2017.

The adventure began with a crowdfunding campaign in 2017. Six pop-up stores later (three in the Marais, three on Avenue des Champs Élysées), they finally opened their permanent store. In 2019, a boutique apartment with its small garden, in the heart of the Marais, in Paris, at 27 rue du Bourg-Tibourg.

L'Appartement Français offers the best selection of brands made in France in complete transparency by asking each brand distributed to L'Appartement Français precise traceability of the substantial elements making up each product as well as the place of manufacture.

It is inspired by the philosophy of permaculture. Good for the planet and good for people. It tends towards virtuousness both in the method of manufacturing the objects sold and in the development of the brand.

The mission of L'Appartement Français is to offer another way of consuming: consuming less to consume better and consuming locally while being respectful of the environment and employment.

Finally, it is a place of life and exchange in which everyone has their place.
